African Culinary Traditions Meet the Coast

Chef Keith Rhodes and his wife Angela opened Voyce Bistro in early 2026, bringing a bold new vision to downtown Wilmington — Pan-African flavors with coastal cuisine. From shrimp wontons dusted with West African peanut spice to fried rice made with Carolina Gold, every dish tells a story.

"The menu, the concept — it's just an affirmation of culture through food." — Chef Keith Rhodes

The name Voyce is a combination of his grandparents' names — Virgie and Royce — whose beach trips to Topsail Beach planted the seed for this intimate bistro. A back wall gallery of Black culinary trailblazers who mentored Rhodes keeps those roots visible every night.

The kitchen works with Feast Down East and Blackburn Brothers Seafood to ensure every plate reflects the NC coast at its freshest.
